Aiden Andrew Tabler - 07.08.08
Back to Home Page
God's grace was poured out in abundance on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, as we witnessed one of His great and awesome miracles - the birth of a child. For our family, it was made more miraculous, for this baby boy was the first grandchild for both the Tabler and Down families. To witness a new creation of God look into your eyes is a gift that will be treasured forever! To make this occasion even more memorable, this is also the third anniversary of Nathan and Kara's marriage. This will obvously be a double celebration of God's blessings for many years to come! It may also demand some creativity on those days in future years to celebrate both days uniquely!

Aiden Andrew Tabler was born in Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at 8:42 in the morning. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 2.5 oz., and he was a strapping 18 inches long! Kara was strong throughout her labor and delivery, and she was able to walk on her own within hours of delivering this heaven-sent bundle of joy!
Enjoy these photos, and remember to pray for Nathan, Kara, and Aiden as they start a new chapter as a family. Pray that Aiden places his trust in and walks with God at an early age, and that we as family and friends support them in every endeavor as they seek to raise Him up according to His will.

Aiden's fifth day - this was a full day of firsts for me!
We went shopping at the mall for clothes that would fit his tiny little frame. Later, I would watch my parents eat at Pueblo Real, my first Mexican food road trip and first night out at a restaurant. When we got home, we got out the stroller and Mimi, Dad, and Poppy took me on a short stroller ride. I do mean short, because smelling all that Mexican food made me hungry! As you can see, Mommy is pretty wiped out today. I am glad we had some help with shopping for food, getting medicines, and getting errands run these first days home from the hospital. Mommy and Daddy for some reason are always sleepy or tired. Why they just don't take lots of naps like me, I just can't figure out.
Excuse me if I sound just a little boastful here, but these next few pictures of Mommy and me are absolutely precious! After all her hard work and caring for me, she's the best mom I could have!
Thanks, God!

This one is my favorite. I was sleeping, but I still felt the love from my mom!

As you can see, mommy (and me) are worn out!

Mommy's awake!

Daddy is the best at getting me to sleep when I fuss! Wow! What is this thing I'm lying in?

Mimi, this has more room than I need right now. Who's the blue guy in the corner?
This is one soft mattress! Tempur-pedic?!

Time for Mexican food for the parents and grandparents! I feel some hiccups coming on, Dad!

I'm loving the ambience at Pueblo Real. Are Tim and Faith here tonight? Poppy, hold on to me tight!

Mexican food makes me sleepy - again! Here's Mommy and Mimi at Pueblo.

My first stroller ride while Mommy rested. I'm not going to share this first, but it was a HUGE relief!

Happy and content am I! Mom is getting some much needed sleep, and I'm ready to nap myself!

Aunt Anna Jane came to visit with Grandma Tabler during week two.

It's week two, so it's time for my personality to start shining!
