Welcome to our family website! When we began this website, we had no idea what we would do with it. Then, with the advent of MySpace and Facebook, it became apparent that this site could be a gathering place for us to share with those we love. It has become a place to celebrate births, weddings, new homes, trips, and friends we hold dear.

God has blessed us with friends we have made all over the country, and we want to be able to share what God has been and continues to do in our lives. Having celebrated 35 years of marriage, we look back with many memories of homes in Ohio, Dallas and Houston, Texas, on the West Coast of sun-drenched Redlands, California, most recently in Charlotte and Matthews, North Carolina, and now we have come to Knoxville, Tennessee (for the second time!). We have celebrated baptisms, attended scores of graduation ceremonies and weddings of students I have taught, and we have experienced some sad farewells with dear friends in every one of these special places.

We are now entering a new phase of life as Empty Nesters, and we are discovering the joys of becoming "Mimi and Pops" since the joyous birth of our first grandson, Aiden, in July, 2008. Our son Stuart lives in Troy, Alabama, seeking to complete his education at Troy University. His desire is to make a career in the animation design industry. Kara is now facing the challenge of motherhood while flourishing as a part of a Wachovia Bank management team. She and her wonderful husband Nathan live and work from a beautiful home in Franklin, Tennessee, a mere three-hour drive from Knoxville.

We hope that you who visit the site will feel free to drop us a line and let us know how and what you are doing. We would love to include you on these pages. Whether you are a blood relative, a fellow Christ-follower, or just a curious visitor, you're welcome here. Send us a greeting, an update, or any stocks (which at this writing, are worth less than the postage it would take to send them) you want to divest!
